15 Years of Bold Creativity: The Clone Journey

15 years. 19 team members. 25% year-on-year growth. One clear mission: helping brands stand out.

Simon and Joel founded Clone in 2010 as a print company with big ambitions. Today, Clone is a creative powerhouse delivering bold solutions across print, design, exhibitions, and branded merchandise.

Birthday Celebrations

Last week, balloons, birthday cake and games filled our Basingstoke HQ as we celebrated turning 15. The party kicked off at noon with prosecco flowing and a magnificent graze table – all from local suppliers.

Joel gave a speech about our journey so far, sharing memories with the team. The on-brand balloon arch provided the perfect backdrop for photos and festivities.

No Clone party would be complete without some friendly competition. The team faced off in three bespoke challenges:

Scoop the Sizzle: Blindfolded team members spun around before attempting to scoop as much packaging material as possible in 45 seconds. Mae and Rosie’s match saw a dramatic finish with Rosie collecting an impressive 90g to Mae’s 30g.

Merch Memory Game: Team members had 30 seconds to memorise 15-20 branded merchandise items before recalling as many as possible. Ben took the crown with 12 items correctly remembered.

Pack/Unpack the Swagpack: A relay race through our entire packaging process – from building the Swagpack box to packing items, and then unpacking everything. The Mae/Gogi/Rosie team claimed victory in a photo finish.

Mae’s dog even got in on the action, posing next to a glass in what might be the cutest photo of the day. There are no corporate photoshoot smiles here – just a bunch of people who’ve somehow worked together for years without driving each other completely mad.

From Print to Creative Force

Our path to success came through consistent delivery of results, not fancy talk or empty promises. Facts tell our story better than words:

  • Named in the FT 1000 list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies
  • ISO accredited for eight consecutive years
  • Ranked in Print Week’s Top 500 Printers
  • Great Place to Work certified two years running
  • 100% customer satisfaction
  • 100% employee retention
  • 25% year-on-year growth

Our Growth

While our services have expanded dramatically since 2010, one thing remains unchanged: our belief that clear communication creates bold results.

Clone has grown from print management to offer:

  • Print Services – Creating everything from brochures to direct mailers
  • Creative Design – Developing identities, branding, packaging and campaigns that capture attention
  • Exhibition Services – Building complete solutions for stands
  • Branded Merchandise – Delivering items that extend brand reach
  • Fulfilment Services – Ensuring distribution and delivery

Every project follows one principle: listen carefully to clients, then create solutions that make maximum audience impact with minimum environmental impact.

The Next 15 Years

The first 15 years were just the warm-up. With our ISO 9001 and 27001 certifications, Carbon Neutral Britain status, and BPMA accredited membership, Clone stands ready for the next phase of growth.

Our plan includes:

  • Expanding our creative services division
  • Enhancing our exhibition capabilities
  • Developing additional sector specialisms
  • Further reducing our environmental footprint
  • Continuing to invest in our talented team
