Clone Media now one of Britain’s biggest print firms

You’ll forgive us for blowing our own trumpet, but we’re particularly pleased with the news that, for the first time, Clone Media has broken into the country’s top 500 print companies, as compiled by the industry bible Print Week.

Print Week assesses the financial performance of the country’s top 500 print firms and gives them an overall ranking, together with scores for year-on-year sales growth, sales per employee and percentage growth in employees.

While getting to 435th for overall performance was good, shooting into the top ten for two of the performance indicators (sales per employee and percentage growth in employees) was outstanding.

All in all, it’s been a busy few weeks at Clone Media’s Chineham Business Park, Basingstoke HQ – with our director Joel Dalton finding out about the Print Week accolade after returning from paternity leave. Congratulations!

Joel and fellow director Simon Drury, who set up the business in 2010, said the Print Week Top 500 is reserved for only the top 6% of the nation’s 8,600 print companies.

Simon explained: “As a highly sales-focused organisation, it’s really satisfying to know that what we’re doing performs against the rest of a highly competitive industry.

“We’re delighted to be on a list that includes so many companies we admire and respect deeply, and we look forward to surging up the rankings further in 2020, which will be our tenth year.”

Simon and Joel both praised their “wonderful team” for making the last 12 months such a success. They expect the business to continue to expand and are looking forward to another successful 12 months.
