Fresh Starts Belong in Spring

The Spring Equinox lands on 20 March. Day and night in balance. Light returning. Nature waking up.

For thousands of years, this was when people celebrated new beginnings. Seeds got planted. Plans got made. Energy shifted.

Then we decided January would be the start of the year instead. Cold, dark January. When everyone’s exhausted from Christmas and nobody wants to do anything except sit on the sofa.

No wonder those New Year resolutions never stick.

Spring is when things change. When the world around us is growing, blooming, moving forward. And if you’re thinking about refreshing your marketing materials, planning your exhibition calendar, or finally launching that direct mail campaign you’ve been putting off – now’s the time.

What could use a refresh?

Have a look at the brochures and folders sitting in the cupboard. The ones you hand out at meetings and send to prospects. Do they still reflect who you are now, or are they quietly making your brand look dated?

Then there’s your exhibition presence. Events and conferences pick up from March onwards, and if you’re exhibiting, your stand, graphics, printed materials and merchandise should all work together. One brief, one team, everything matching perfectly.

Maybe it’s that direct mail campaign you’ve been meaning to launch. Spring is when budgets reset and new projects kick off. A well-designed mailer that lands directly in your audience’s hands gets remembered.

And what about your branded merchandise? The items you hand out at events, include in client gifts, or give to new starters. Quality merchandise that people want to keep creates impressions. Generic stuff ends up in a drawer.

The practical side

If you’ve got exhibitions, events or campaigns coming up between March and June, spring is the ideal time to get ahead. And when one team handles your print, creative design, exhibition stands and merchandise, you brief once and everything works together. No chasing five different suppliers. No colour mismatches between your stand and your brochures.

Worth noting that the Easter school holidays run for two weeks in April this year, so things tend to slow down across the board. Getting your projects in before mid-March keeps everything running smoothly.
